I went to see Caribana on Saturday. It was my first visit and was not very successful. I got there in the morning, walked around for a few hours, got wet from a short but fierce rainfall, got sunburned, and managed to take only a few photos. This is the only half decent photo. I cropped it a lot and the light is very harsh, but I still like it. It is colorful and unusual. At least all my walking produced something. For next year I will know how to find a good spot for photos.
The lady in the pictures was smiling a lot and squinty from the sun, but she seemed so eager to pose with everyone. I took this snapshot from a distance, just because I really liked her costume.
